Tuesday (for lack of a better title)
This is a super cute video of Marina all bundled in her carseat, and talking to her Daddy. He compares her to ET on the video...you can hear me in the background if you listen carefully.
So I am having a very Martha Stewart-y day. I made cinnamon hard candy this morning to put in our Christmas goodie trays that I make every year. And to be honest, I will confess that I burned the first batch. It was quite revolting, as a matter of fact. BUT the second batch turned out beautifully. There is a warning on the cinnamon oil for the recipe that says not to breathe in the steam because the oil is so strong. I decided to disregard this warning, and now my sinuses will be completely clear for the next month. I was almost crying. But, the house smells scrumptious now, and I am quite proud of myself.
We had Dn. John's Christmas party ("holidy gathering" to be PC) on Saturday night. It was super fun, and we got all dressed up. Of course, we neglected to take a picture, which is too bad, because I looked great. So did Dn. John, but he doesn't care nearly as much as I do. It seems if the kids aren't in the picture, we can't be bothered to take one. But anyway, it was fun to get out. My sister Jessica watched the girls, and doesn't seem too scarred by the event, so they must've been good.
Megan and I put up our Nativity scene yesterday. It was really neat to see her talking about the "people" (as she calls all of them). She told me that Baby Jesus is a baby just like Marina, and I was pretty stoked to hear her figure that out. She also knows the wise men came from far away, because her Christmas book (which we read year round) tells her that. So once again, I was quite impressed by my two year old's brilliance. She also got on the phone today and chatted with Aunt Kathryn--I was really excited that she was willing to do that.
On a side note, I am a retard. I have been trying to log into Facebook while my video uploads, and I was getting really irritated that they were telling me my log in name/password were incorrect. Well, I had spelled my name wrong.
