So Megan is soooo argumentative these days. It drives me batty. It doesn't matter what we're doing--Megan has to argue about it. Like driving in the car: "We're not in the car." Or the other day when I told her to stop arguing with me: "I'm not arguing!"
Then there's my favorite, when I pointed out a moose on the side of the road the other day: "That is not a moose Mama. That is a whale." ??? What the heck? Maybe we need to get her eyes checked.
Or five seconds ago:
Dn. John: "I don't want to go downstairs. I'm talking to Mommy. She's nice."
Megan: "She's not nice, Daddy."
Dn. John: "Well, I know. But we can pretend."
What is with my family?
The other thing that drives me nuts is how sassy she's becoming. To those of you who don't know Megan, she has two speeds: running and unconscious. I sent her to get a rag the other day because Marina had spit up on me. I told her to go quickly and get it. She looked me in the eye (the sassy little thing) and said, "I'm just walking Mommy." She then proceeded to go sooooo slowly into the living room, mosey over the the rag basket, and mosey back into the kitchen at the speed of molasses in Antarctica. Grr...
But to be fair, she is also super sweet and lots of fun most of the time. We made cupcakes on Valentine's Day, and she really wanted to take some to her God-parents. Well, her Godparents live in Pennsylvania, and I was pretty sure that they wouldn't hold up in the mail. So we decided to compromise and take them to Aunt Diana's house (her Godmother's Mom) who lives about five houses down. When we got to Aunt Diana's, Megan was madder than a hornet that Aunt Stasia, Uncle Matthew and Luke weren't there. Apparently I had not explained our outing very well, because she had evidently assumed they were at Aunt Diana's house. After being super upset about this, she told me, "Mama, we need to go on an airplane now and go see them." (We have tickets to go see them in April, and telling Megan this was a huge mistake since she has no sense of time. She tells me almost every day that it's time to get on the plane and go see Luke). Like I said, very sweet.
She also tells her Daddy that he needs to call Uncle Phil and play the Wii with him (they play MarioKart online together). And tonight she had a very sweet conversation with Grammy in South Carolina. So it's not all sass and arguing. It just seems like it.

Wow, I am sure thats just how i was when i was little! In fact I know!
That is soooooooo funny. Especially between Dn John and Megan. Matthew and I laughed really hard. If Luke could talk more I am sure he would be the same way. He is very into having things done on his terms right now. :( ERGH!!!
Yeah, they're kind-of mean. It's painful to think that Meg is growing up to pick on me just like her Daddy...
Marina's prolific screaming (I took her pacifier away) has woken Megan up, so we are going to go call you!
I love that! She is going to grow up to pick on you! I love her!
