I am really okay

So I realized after that last post that perhaps people would worry. I really am okay. Sad, but okay. Sometimes it is easier to write than talk, and blogging about my internal struggles this morning did help me work through them. God is good. I will not pretend to ever know His plan for me, or for those I love. But I will have faith. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." I do ask for your continued prayers, for me and my friends.

On a happier note, we have had a gorgeous day today. I am in shorts and a tank top (a rarity for me, since I hate wearing shorts), and still roasting hot. It's in the high seventies (again, a rarity!). The church had a Pentecost picnic on the lawn today, which ended with Kneeling Vespers. Dn. John and I SPF 50'd the kids, and took them up...Marina in a super cute little sundress, and Megan in a swimsuit. For the second time this summer, Megan proceeded to pee on the church lawn. I think at least five people came up to me and told me, "Uh, Megan peed through her swimsuit." My response? "Yeah, thanks." Dn. John sent her through the sprinkler to rinse off, and then it was all good. She was quite mad when I told her she couldn't go to Vespers in her swimsuit, though.

Gotta love the sun and the summer! Megan played so hard that I went downstairs to tell her something, and she was passed out on the couch watching a movie. At 7:00 in the evening! She had also taken her swimsuit off, so she was butt naked, and covered in orange stickiness from a popsicle at the picnic. I'm not joking--head to toe, orange. I left her alone while I got Marina ready for bed. Marina nursed for about 30 seconds and then was dead to the world, too. So, here it is: 7:30 in the evening, and both my kids are fast asleep. I predict that it will be an early, early morning tomorrow.

I do think that I should take advantage of the sleeping kids....I haven't washed the dishes since Friday, and they are stacking up.

Safe travels Matthew and Stasia! Can't wait to see you, Luke and Hannah!!!!
